Louis A. Datilio IILou developed the entire sport of gymnastics in New Hampshire and has done wonders for the sport locally and nationally. Lou is the owner and founder of the New Hampshire Academy of Artistic Gymnastics. Lou came to New Hampshire to coach the University of New Hampshire’s Men’s and Woman’s gymnastics teams. While developing a strong college program, he built a barn in his back yard for his gymnasts to train. He then switched gears to developing gymnasts at a younger age. After many years, coaching his son proved to be extremely successful in 1990, when Lou Datilio III became the Junior National Champion. He was the first nationally recognized male gymnast from New Hampshire. With NHA being the first club in New Hampshire, Lou has a long tradition and educational advantage over anyone else in this sport. Lou has made sure that he hires only coaches who he believes thoroughly understand this complex sport. For this, every coach has competed at the national level, and no other club in this state can say the same. Lou has a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and a Masters of Arts in Education, and each of the coaches has been evaluated by Lou in order to produce the best staff that can bring NHA to the top of its field. He has also developed a non-profit organization to help our gymnasts, which is the Northeastern United States Academy of Gymnastics. With so many years of experience, Lou has developed an amazing gymnastics program from facility to coaching, to evolving the sport to a higher level. |
